Job Overview We are seeking a Unit Manager for an Aroma Essential factory located in Girona, Spain. In this key role, you will report directly to the Operations Director and will be responsible for overseeing all production activities at the site.
Key Responsibilities Oversee the entire operations of the Aroma Essential factory to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
Ensure all processes and activities align with the company's standards and goals.
Lead and manage the production and maintenance teams, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.
Ensure that staff are trained, motivated, and working in compliance with safety and operational guidelines.
Serve as the primary point of contact for administrative matters related to the site, including interactions with local authorities, payroll management, accounting, customs, and shipping documentation.
Coordinate the production schedule in close collaboration with the teams based in Grasse, ensuring that production timelines and targets are met.
Supervise the implementation of supply chain activities, including the management of supplies, order fulfillment, and sample shipments.
Oversee the production process, including the dosage and olfactory control of extracts, ensuring that the highest quality standards are maintained.
Develop, optimize, and implement new processes and products, working closely with the Grasse teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
Establish and enforce required quality control and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards, ensuring that the site operates in compliance with both internal policies and external regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position, with a strong background in production management within the chemical or related industries.
Proficiency in distillation and extraction techniques.
Comfortable working in a Windows-based IT environment.
Fluency in written and spoken Spanish.
English proficiency at a B2 level or higher.
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
A curious and creative mindset, with a passion for innovation and process improvement.
