We are looking for an Energy Storage Engineer to join the team in Madrid, Zaragoza or Barcelona, Spain.
You will join us at a time when energy storage is becoming increasingly important in meeting the challenges facing economies worldwide. The role is hybrid - three days in the office and two days working from home. Most of your work will be desk-based, but limited (international) travel for site and customer visits might be required (Your work in the role:
Using your expertise in MS Excel, you will apply, maintain, and develop our proprietary advisory tools (MS Excel and Python-based) for hybrid project energy modelling (photovoltaic/wind/battery energy storage systems/green H2/thermal generator). A dynamic and enthusiastic team player, you will support a diverse range of customers on chargeable energy storage and other renewable energy technology-related projects. You will also develop proposals for and implement (internal) innovation projects that contribute to the ongoing digitalisation of our advisory services.
Additionally, you will support business development by seeking and analysing new business opportunities and additional work for existing customers.

You should have the following:Expertise in MS Excel with experience in developing spreadsheet models and Visual Basics for Applications (VBA).Good understanding of financial modelling and project finance concepts.Excellent written and spoken English. It would be a bonus if you have:Expertise in developing Python-based models.Knowledge of renewable technology (wind, photovoltaic).Knowledge of green hydrogen and ammonia technology.Understanding of hybrid projects (photovoltaic/wind/solar/generator/battery energy storage systems).
