WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING As a Senior Legal Analyst, you will be legally supporting all different areas and units of Santander Consumer Group, working together as a team.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
Provide comprehensive legal counseling on corporate development issues, as well as coordination with the different areas of the Santander Consumer Finance Group, with a special focus on legal and regulatory aspects.Draft and review finance cooperation agreements with our partners in relation to Auto and Durables Retail and Wholesale Finance, including loans/credit services, leasing, operational lease, subscription, buy-now-pay-later services, etc.Review and negotiate third-party provider agreements ensuring EBA Guidelines compliance and cybersecurity risks mitigation.Provide legal advice and support to local units of the Santander Consumer Finance Group in more than 14 countries, working together with our internal and external lawyers.Control and oversight/follow-up, from a legal point of view, of Santander Consumer Finance Group units.Structure, negotiate, and review all types of documents to be signed by SCF (NDAs, MoUs, LoI, M&A agreements, etc.
).Review and negotiate IT services agreements and provide legal advice on IT-related issues in relation to Santander Consumer Finance Group digital services and products, including data protection legal matters.Review and negotiate trademark license agreements and provide legal advice on intellectual property related issues.Prepare the ongoing reporting to Santander Group and collaboration with all Santander Group areas in relation to any Santander Consumer Finance Group matter.EXPERIENCE 6-8 years of experience in similar tasks working in top-tier law firms or as an in-house lawyer in regulated companies.
EDUCATION European qualified lawyer - Degree in Law.
Specialization in any fields relating to Santander Consumer Finance activity, especially on IT-related matters, will be highly valued.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Excellent English and Spanish oral and written communication skills and a high standard of drafting.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.Detail-oriented and well organized.Result-driven mindset ensuring high-quality delivery, being a problem-solver.Aptitude to work with different areas and colleagues as a team, but also with little direction or oversight.Ability to work in a very dynamic environment with many timely demands from internal business colleagues and external regulators.Other languages will be a plus.Provides legal support across the organization enabling profitable growth while mitigating legal risks and ensuring adherence to governance policies, ethics, and country-specific laws and regulations.
