Our school is a private British curriculum school located in the Levante area, near Valencia.Coordination is shared between the Heads of Early Years, Primary and Secondary phases and Coordinators of International Programmes.
The Head of Primary will make decisions jointly with the rest of the team members and the key responsibilities are:Establish a cordial atmosphere, cooperation and work among group members and develop the work within the team, being able to run and lead meetings within their own Stage, transmitting any potential problems or suggestions as well as requests from meetings.Strengthen partnership and community work.Organise and conduct meetings where appropriate with parents and carers to ensure positive outcomes for all parties.Play a leading role in the school improvement and school self-evaluation planning process.Coordinate teachers and supervise the development and organization of projects within their own Stage agreed by SMT and in coordination with the International Primary Programme.Organise the development and review of any required documents, such as action plan, appraisal, classroom observation and any Inspection.Coordinate and prepare the schedule, timetables looking for the best benefit of the school organisation and using the required digital platform.Offer support and reinforcement of the Discipline & Behaviour Policy at each stage, meeting the Psychological Department on a regular basis.Make proposals on material requirements in the corresponding stage and ensure their order for use.Ensure proper use of the school facilities.Be an excellent role model, exemplifying a high standard of teaching and promoting high expectations for all members of the school community.Convene and chair meetings on a regular basis with teams, transmitting potential problems/suggestions from that meeting to the management team.Monitor departments in the delivery and order of books and copies of examinations where appropriate.Work with the advisor, when necessary, in organizing activities to promote coexistence among students and monitor Tutorial work.Promote and meet with student representatives to address any concerns and suggestions made.Ensure the implementation and development of programs as part of the School Project.What We're Looking For Suitably qualified for the position and Qualified Teacher Status.Familiar with International Programmes: IPC, PYP (IBO).Teaching role 5-10% of the working time.Up-to-date professional development.Good understanding of the community and parent body.Knowledge of UK National Curriculum requirements.Highly effective team leader, able to motivate and engage other staff to be better.Recent experience in a Primary School which follows the UK National Curriculum.Enthusiasm for teaching, learning and the achievement of every student
