TV/FILM INDUSTRY - SECURITY ADVISOR About the Company

About the Role
The Security Advisor is a senior consulting role responsible for ensuring the security of all aspects of film and TV production at a strategic level. This includes developing and implementing high-level security protocols, providing expert guidance on security matters, and coordinating with public and law enforcement agencies. The consultant works closely with production executives to identify and mitigate security risks, ensuring a safe environment for cast, crew, and assets. Work may take place in any number of cities throughout Spain.
Key Responsibilities: Security Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies for film and TV productions, addressing potential risks and vulnerabilities at a strategic level.Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments for production locations, sets, and studios. Identify potential security threats and develop high-level mitigation plans.Advisory Role: Provide expert advice to production executives on security matters, ensuring informed decision-making at the highest levels.Emergency Response Planning: Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and incident reporting protocols. Oversee regular drills and training sessions.Government and Law Enforcement Coordination: Liaise with local authorities and the police to ensure cooperation and support for production security. Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with government regulations.Technology Integration: Advise on the implementation and management of advanced security technologies such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, and communication tools to enhance on-site security.Asset Protection: Develop and enforce protocols for the protection of valuable production assets, including equipment, vehicles, and intellectual property.Travel Security: Plan and coordinate security for high-profile cast and crew travel, including transportation, accommodations, and location scouting.Incident Management: Respond to high-level security incidents and emergencies, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions. Maintain detailed incident reports.Stakeholder Engagement: Work with internal and external stakeholders, including production teams, cast, crew, and vendors, to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance.Compliance: Ensure all security practices comply with industry standards, legal requirements, and best practices. Stay updated on relevant security regulations and developments.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION - ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: Option A: 2 years of experience performing security-related work exclusively in motion picture production as a department head, foreperson, or in a production security position.Option B: 500 workdays in another crew position within motion picture production, providing the candidate with extensive security-related knowledge, experience, and expertise in minimizing safety risks to employees and the general public.Option C: 5 years of senior-level experience in security-related work with primary responsibility for security in another industry. This includes strategic roles such as executive of Security or equivalent, with extensive experience in government, law enforcement or military.Additional Requirements: Licensed by the SIA (Close Protection preferred) with specialized training in film industry security, risk assessment, emergency response, and crisis management.Able to travel and work on-site for extended durations. Willing to work in remote and challenging locations.Preferred Qualifications: Higher education qualifications or equivalent relating to security.Over 5 years in senior security advisory roles, preferably in film and TV production or related industries, with experience advising senior executives.Membership of professional security organizations.Experience in the security and intelligence community, related government departments, police, or military, and familiarity with security technologies like surveillance systems and access control.Extensive knowledge of security protocols, emergency response planning, and strategic risk assessment, including conducting security training and awareness programs.Strong understanding of security challenges specific to film and TV production environments.Desired Attributes: Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in identifying and mitigating security risks.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and respond quickly in high-pressure situations.Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey security protocols to diverse teams.Leadership: Proven leadership abilities with experience managing security personnel and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.Adaptability: Ability to adapt to the dynamic and fast-paced nature of film and TV production environments.Company's website: www.reel.inc - www.reelsecurity.co.uk Job Type: Contract
