How will you fit in to Gamestry as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer?
Your mission will be to collaborate in building technology solutions and ensure their proper functioning through the use of automated testing tools to run tests on the software being developed and report on the results in order to guarantee optimal quality standards.
Your exceptional contribution to Gamestry will involve the following roles and tasks: Quality Assurance Driver You will collect and analyze data to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
You will develop and maintain libraries, tools and frameworks for automation testing.
You will be an advocate for test automation efforts, standards and processes; create and deliver new test scripts; and manage test datasets for automation activities.
You will integrate development products with automation frameworks, CI, build systems.
You will provide support and directions on root cause analysis of bugs and track bug reports, quantifying the problem with a high degree of reproducibility.
Engineer Contributor You will participate in test design discussions and code reviews; review automated testing approaches; design test cases to minimize the need for manual analysis of test results.
You will collaborate with our teams to prioritize and drive automation backlog.
You will participate in ongoing training to stay up to speed on best practices, learn new programming languages, and help other team members.
You will assume leadership on projects as and when required.
What will you need to fly with us?
5+ years of experience in a similar role, on technology teams within startup environments.
Experience in planning, designing, implementing and documenting automated functional and UI testing.
Experience with different types of automated testing such as usability, performance, security, load/stress, and experience in developing automated tests for simulators and mobile devices.
Excellent skills in bug detection, regression and defect tracking.
Feature verification and enhancements using white and black box methodologies with emphasis on problem identification and debugging.
Familiarity with cloud development environments including API design and integration.
Experience using CI/CD tools and knowledge of code versioning tools, such as Git plus the ability to write technical specifications before and after implementation would be an asset.
Proper understanding of the continuous integration process and unit testing.
Passion for video games, technology and the maker economy.
Customer-centricity, keeping the user in mind, knowing how to talk to the user and how to find out their problems and needs.
You're a self-motivated, self-starter who can work independently, you're results-oriented and you're comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
