The position of Chief of Staff is a critical role with high visibility within TravelPerk. You will actively support the CEO and wider Leadership Team in scaling TravelPerk in the coming years, overseeing executive routines and managing initiatives across business units towards strategic company goals. You will essentially be the right hand of the Leadership Team on the most strategic topics across the company, focusing on the exploration and analysis of ideas. As a result, this is not an entry-level position; you will report directly to the CEO. It demands flexibility and will allow you to switch between being a strategist for the company, a consultant to the CEO and wider Leadership Team, and an analyst of key initiatives from the Leadership Team. It requires a highly driven self-starter with a strategic mind combined with high emotional intelligence and a strong analytical skill set. This role is ideal for someone looking to join a fast-paced company during hypergrowth, work on meaningful projects, and collaborate closely with some of the best leaders in European tech.
You will do: Prepare & support weekly Leadership Team meetings & quarterly Leadership Team offsites: prepare the agenda, take notes, assign action items, follow up, and hold owners accountable for rolling out key initiatives & decisions.
Operate at a strategic level, handling the exploration of ideas & projects that do not neatly fit within the organizational chart or that fall between departments or leadership areas of responsibility. You will lead the ideation & research and collaborate with BizOps or the relevant functional owner to ensure a smooth transition.
Monitor the company's progress across departments and identify areas for improvement as well as topics that require the attention of you and/or the Leadership Team.
Build & develop relationships: Collaborate with other functional areas (BizOps, Product, Partnerships, Sales, People Operations, Legal, Finance, etc.) to ensure you are learning from the best minds, which will help you in your work.
Provide leverage to the Leadership Team by conducting deep dive analyses on recent internal and external developments, proposing solutions, and acting as a sparring partner in discussions.
What you need: 7+ years professional experience working across complex stakeholders; you will either have 2-5 years at a top-tier consultancy or you will have worked in a top-tier tech company coordinating complex cross-functional projects.
Analytical: Proven background breaking down complex problems and presenting data-informed solutions.
Strong competency in strategic planning.
Strong organizational & planning skills.
Highly driven self-starter with the ability to deal with ambiguity.
Excellent written communication: Produce clean, precise prose and ruthlessly prioritize.
Clear thinker: Form opinions based on facts and can break your ideas down into digestible blocks.
Ability to articulate your ideas visually (slides) and verbally to a wide variety of stakeholders from CXO to company-wide.
