Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – ICU – Gen 2 Length: 13 weeks Requirements: OH license 2 years experience BLS ACLS NIH TNCC, TCAR preferred Teaching Hospital experience preferred Epic required Other Details: Float Beds: 16 Special Procedures/Unit Details: Level 1 Trauma facility, dedicated trauma ICU unit with TNCC or TCAR certification, NIH stroke certification, Resident physician in unit coverage 24/7 Patient Diagnoses: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Carotid endarterectomy, Distal Bypass, Sepsis, Trauma, Bowel Perforation, Arterial Thrombosis, Pulmonary embolism, Free flap for oral/facial/pharyngeal reconstruction COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only No Local Travelers Within 50 Miles Avg Daily Census: 14 Rooms: 16 Every Other Weekend Coverage Documentation System: Epic Required Special Equipment: Nx-Stage- CRRT, Belmont rapid infuser, Hot line fluid warmer, Artic Sun- for targeted temperature management, EKOS Certification Required – ACLS, BLS, NIH Work Settings: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias Endocrine/Metabolic: IV insulin protocols IV therapy: Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs Respiratory/Thoracic: Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning (ETT, NT) Professional Topics and Skills: Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac Free Parking Schedules are subject to change based on staffing needs; two-week notice will be given by the facility for a change in schedule.
