Translational Research in Oncology (TRIO) is recruiting for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Reporting to the CEO and serving as a member of the Executive Team, the CFO is responsible for leading and implementing a comprehensive financial strategy to enable our organization to deliver on its mission and vision. We are recruiting a seasoned financial leader who has Clinical Research Organization (CRO) and/or Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical experience and will be a trusted resource to the CEO, Executive Team, and Board of Directors. As a leader who has their finger on the pulse of the clinical research industry, your business expertise in financial and operational activities will steward the organizations growth and continued success.. As part of the Executive Team, you will:Develop and implement financial procedures to support business milestones and fiscal activities; employing tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO in order to measure financial success. Advance high-level strategic initiatives while managing the day-to-day requirements of the finance team. Manage all short and long-term strategic financial objectives; support the Senior Leadership team with vital financial information, operational analytics, and ensure the objectives are in alignment with the organization's strategic plans. Oversee all fiscal activities including financial reporting and analysis, internal controls, risk management, tax management, budgetary planning, cash flow, forecasting, cost management, data analytics, and business modelling. Analyze business trends, review variances, and advise the CEO and Senior Leadership team on strategic plans and/or corrective actions in order to drive daily financial and operational effectiveness. Understands and mitigates key elements of the companys risk profile, monitor legal issuesaffecting the industry, and ensure that the company complies with all local and global legal and regulatory requirements. Manage and facilitate relationships with banks, external auditors, and the Board of Directors. Leads and develops an effective, efficient, and cohesive financial team; support employee development and recognizes achievement, and encourages a culture of accountability and best in class financial function.
