The scope of the Early Oncology (EO) Translational Medicine (TM) Alliance Management Team is to lead the outsourcing strategy across the EO TM organization; ensure our suppliers deliver to the needs of the organization; and to develop strong, beneficial partnerships with key suppliers.

The role of the Alliance Manager is to handle one or more supplier(s) or outsourcing models within the EO TM team.
You will be responsible for ensuring the supplier(s) and/or model(s) are meeting the needs of the Translational Medicine Leads (TMLs) and ensure that selected partners deliver to contract and that strong relationships with the external suppliers are created and maintained ultimately enabling us to access exciting, cutting edge technologies.
We expect you to ensure the maintenance and oversight of supplier/model, ensuring seamless execution, quality and timely delivery of relevant scope of work deliverables and to handle operational governance of the supplier(s)/model(s) and participate in other governance as required.
May include coordination and/or participation at executive level governance meetings.

You will also define and monitor quality and performance of service deliverables in alignment with the project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- The remit of this unique role will allow you to demonstrate leadership on two main high impact projects:
- Provide Alliance Management support for a key Early Oncology Translational Medicine business critical partnership encompassing retrospective studies, scientific collaborations and prospective studies with non-registrational intent.
- Work with world-leading external partners to deliver exploratory data on novel assays using contrived and clinical samples.
Help build our understanding of the global cancer Early Detection and Minimal Residual Disease technology landscape and deliver our engagement & evaluation strategy with prioritized technology partners.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting the foundation for these key relationships as we kick off pilot studies with a view to forge long-lasting partnerships.
- Manage day to day interactions with 3rd party partners, including liaison with senior managers, Translational Medicine Leads, TM Operations Leads, TM Leadership Team and project teams both internally and externally to build collaboration and trust.
- Draw up Statements of Work and work-plans to support new biomarker analyses on clinical trial samples.
- Work with commercial partners to plan, procure, deliver and analyze epigenomic data via external labs.
- Maintain oversight of all programs with a partner, and be the "Go to person for the partnership" especially for issue resolution, contracting and governance.
This will involve collaborating cross-functionally with Procurement, Business Development, Precision Medicine, etc to establish new relationships/maintain current working relationships, contribute to contracting process to meet project timelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with academic and commercial epigenomics KOL's.
- This is not a lab-based role; rather you will work with 3rd party laboratories who will generate data on their novel technologies using our samples.
- Alliance Manager is the key point of contact within TM for a dedicated partner and provides agreement templates for TMLs to complete, ensuring consistency in terms and pricing as well as communicating prioritization needs back to the vendor.
- Liaise with Translational Medicine Leads and TM Operations Leads for early stage drug project work and to implement TM biomarker strategy.
- Collect information regarding capabilities, services and upcoming new offerings of new vendors, and form connections and business relationships with new partners to meet our scientific needs.

Requirements
- University degree in related field, or equivalent.
- Scientific background in the genomics technology space sufficient to allow for technical understanding of service deliverables (e.g.
study management, data management, analysis and reporting).
- Highly motivated with organizational skills demonstrating a strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Evidence of problem solving, troubleshooting risk management and collaborative working skills.
- Ability to act as an external ambassador and to influence external organizations to enhance the partnership.
