Trainee Shipping Agent - Spain

GAC Spain delivers a wide range of ship agency services, including husbandry, bunker fuels, customs clearance, crew change support and ship spares logistics, to keep your vessels and cargo moving across Spain. GAC is currently recruiting for a fulltime Trainee Shipping Agent, based at the port of Algeciras, Spain.
The key responsibilities are:

Booking vessels in and out of port with all relevant stakeholders
Capturing accurate costs incurred during port calls
Visiting vessels and handling any local requirements
Maintaining good relations with customers and stakeholders
Oversee delivery of spare parts

The ideal candidate will have:

Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications
Strong English communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
Produce and maintain accurate documents
Recent graduates interested in the ship agency industry are encouraged to apply
A background in maritime studies or seagoing experience is advantageous but not essential
