You will join the Energy Management business unit that includes the supply, trading, and dispatch of oil, biofuels, natural gas, electricity, and environmental products - both from Galp's own capital and third parties. These operations provide greater value along Galp's integrated business chain, as they seek to proactively seize commercial opportunities, maximise the integrated margin, and navigate the dynamics and volatility of the energy market. How will your day-to-day look like: You will be responsible for ensuring that all trading activities are conducted in strict compliance with European regulations, including MiFID II, EMIR, REMIT II, and other relevant regulations. You will work closely with the front office and back office team, and other departments, and serve as an advisor on regulatory issues, identifying risks, and developing mitigation strategies. Your main tasks will be:- Compliance: You will be responsible for ensuring that all Energy Management activities comply with all applicable laws and regulations.- Policy Development: You will design and update internal policies and procedures to align trading activities with current regulations.- Liaison with Regulators: Serve as a point of contact for all European regulatory requirements, responding to public consultations and providing reports, when applicable.- Provide expert advice to traders and other teams on European regulatory issues, ensuring understanding and compliance with regulations. What makes you unique: - Minimum of 8 years of experience in regulatory teams within the energy/trading/finance sector.- Deep knowledge of EMIR, REMIT, and MiFID, including the new changes arising from EMIR Refit (already in place) and REMIT II.- Experience in validating reporting on our behalf by financial entities on trading exchanges, know-how in validating reporting from clearing houses, and the specifics of all obligations under MiFID, namely Commodity Position Report, Transaction Report, and others.- Knowledge of the rules of trading venues and the definition of associated parameters.- Proficiency in English is a must-have, and a good level of Portuguese is also nice to have.
