NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EU funded project called: Technical Assistance to Mobilise Stakeholders around Global Gateway Priorities in Nigeria and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.
The primary objective of this contract is to support the effective mobilisation of stakeholders (Member States, development financial institutions, public and private sectors) around the Global Gateway priorities in Nigeria, including, but not limited to, digital economy, transport and health as well as cross cutting thematic such as innovative financing, business climate and governance, through structured engagement and strategic intelligence gathering.
Project Duration: The indicative start date is 03/03/2025 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 729 Day(s) from this date (indicative end date: 02/03/2027).
Location: Abuja, Nigeria.
Trade and Investment Facilitation Expert (Cat.
II): ? Qualifications and skills: A relevant higher degree (Master's or equivalent) in economics, business, international relations, trade, or a related field.
Strong understanding and analytical skills to present and communicate on trade agreements, particularly the EU-Africa trade framework, and the Global Gateway initiative as well as ability to offer actionable insights.
Proficiency in English is required.
? General professional experience: A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in trade facilitation, economic development, investment promotion, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in working with international stakeholders, particularly in EU-Africa relations in particular high-level stakeholder engagements and policy dialogues.
? Specific professional experience: Strong knowledge of the EU-Africa trade dynamics, especially in relation to the EU's trade agreements and initiatives such as the Global Gateway and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) with the aim of developing investment strategies and sector specific roadmaps for fostering public-private partnerships and promoting sustainable investments.
Expertise in developing strategic roadmaps, investment frameworks, and facilitating collaborations between the private and public sectors and order to alleviate regulatory issues, and governance frameworks that affect trade and investment in Africa.
