The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Standard Duties: Tool Room Blueprint reading and interpretation.Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.Programming various tool room machines via conversational and G&M coding.Understand heat treat principles of various tool steels.Understand and apply mathematics related to machine set up and fabrication of finished parts.Troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, inspect, and test a variety of tool room equipment.Perform equipment failure analysis and preventive maintenance.Work with the engineering staff and outside vendors regarding fabrication and tooling design.Visually inspect and test finished parts for quality standards and functionality.Monitor equipment to detect malfunction and take appropriate action to resolve.Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.Fabricate and repair counters, benches, guarding, and other structures.Program and operate 3D printers of multiple styles and material mediums.Work with vendors to gain supplies and materials as needed.Safety, Health and Physical Requirements: Stand for long periods of time including during operation of stand-up lifts.Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs.
