We are seeking a knowledgeable Tool Development Program Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will focus on developing and deploying innovative tools for automating lifecycle assessment (LCA) calculations. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design intelligent systems that streamline the process of gathering, analyzing, and reporting environmental impact data throughout product lifecycles. Responsibilities: Project Management : Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of scalable and maintainable solutions. Tool Development : Design and implement tools to automate lifecycle assessment (LCA) calculations, enabling accurate and efficient analyses. Data Integration : Work closely with data engineers and analysts to integrate various datasets (e.G., material properties, energy use) into LCA tools. Modeling & Algorithm Development : Develop models to improve prediction accuracy and automation of LCA processes. Software Engineering : Collaborate with the software engineering team to ensure robust integration of tools within existing IT infrastructure. Automation & Optimization : Leverage automation techniques to optimize computational processes for real-time and batch LCA assessments as well as enabling quick responses to customer inquiries and reporting requirements. Collaboration : Work closely with product managers, environmental scientists, and sustainability experts to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Reporting : Create detailed documentation and reports for internal stakeholders on the tools' performance, operation, benefits, and improvements. Education and Experience Required: First level university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in tool development with a focus on automation, process optimization, or sustainability tools. Experience in LCA tools or environmental impact software is a strong advantage. Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (e.G., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn). Proven experience in data integration (e.G. APIs), transformation (e.G. Power Queries) and management. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices. Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (Python, VBA, R) for tool development. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and AI-driven automation techniques
