Wood requires an engaging, people-oriented business leader to join our Industrial Power team as the Operations Director for the Spanish business. Reporting to the SVP of Industrial Power, this individual will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the business plan by demonstrating proactive leadership to drive high performance across operational, financial, and safety metrics. To be successful, the individual must be self-motivated and have strong commercial knowledge, whilst ideally demonstrating high levels of emotional intelligence and collaborative skills to work across Wood's different service lines.
Key Focus Areas Include: Directing and guiding the growth, development, and delivery performance of the Industrial Power Spain Operating Unit, supporting the development of strategy, and delivering related business plans.
Being accountable for safety, technical, and financial performance of the business unit, assuming budgetary and P&L responsibility and demonstrating clear safety leadership; achieving monthly and annual targets and embedding company values.
Providing guidance and direction to management and support teams in the day-to-day management of delivery, ensuring appropriate controls and governance are in place and ensuring Wood is working to the highest possible standards of integrity, safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Producing solutions to complex strategic, contractual, technical, commercial, operational, and personnel-related challenges which impact customer service and performance.
Managing ongoing business, responsible for budget setting and delivery, contracts, capacity and resource management, and capability management.
To be appointed as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Company, if requested.
The role provides direction and leadership for the achievement of strategic goals, vision, and shared values through finance, risk management, change leadership, people and culture, stakeholder management, governance, assurance, compliance, and reputation.
**Operational Delivery**
P & L responsibility with associated commercial and financial accountability including revenue delivery, margin and overhead management, budget and forecast determination and attainment, risk and opportunity reviews, cost controls, accounts payable/billing, and cash collection.
Deliver performance management.
