Job Description Summary: GE is looking for a customer-focused analyst that will be responsible for helping drive growth for GE's software, building industry-specific, research-based, and data-driven strategic commercial initiatives. Manage all aspects of the commercial data analysis framework. Work closely with Sales Representatives, Commercial Managers, and other Commercial functions to define and implement comprehensive analysis and action plans. Support Sales Plays with market segmentation and lead qualification.
The Sales Analyst will identify gaps and propose initiatives to increase order growth and capture rate.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesPartner cross-functionally to create and operationalize our commercial data framework.Provide thought leadership on how to create and structure tools/data for scalable growth and ongoing real-time insights.Create actionable insights that enable cross-sell/upsell opportunities.Use a variety of data sources to analyze and evaluate relevant business situations/trends to develop initiatives to support opportunity qualification and increase pipeline.Promote and enforce best practices.Champion competitive learnings across the commercial organization.Work closely with sales leaders and marketing to identify priorities.Support Commercial Leadership to provide business/market insights and defined actions, based upon interactions with the field and interpretation of data.In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how the work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.Most decisions are within a defined framework, but some autonomy in the final decisions for a project, product line, market, sales process, or customers.Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 10 years of experience, OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 14 years of experience.Desired CharacteristicsProven ability to be both strategic and tactical.Aptitude in critical thinking and problem-solving.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office software, Tableau, and SQL.Experience with Business Intelligence or Data Visualization tools.Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
