Bird partners closely with the cities in which it operates to provide a reliable and affordable transportation option for people who live and work there.ResponsibilitiesRepresent Bird at the local level, promote Bird's brand and reputationBuild, and/or strengthen relationships with the city officials of key Spanish and Portuguese cities, as well as other key national or local stakeholdersShape new local and national e-scooter regulations in Spain and Portugal alongside public officials and other local stakeholdersDevelop Bird's strategy to win or renew operating permits when their attribution is competitive (RfPs) or part of a trial/MoU with a cityCollaborate cross functionally to ensure that Bird fulfills all obligations required by the cities, and ensure that the company remains responsive to local concerns as they emergeBuild a close relationship with Bird's local General Manager and local Operations team to identify, evaluate and prioritize opportunities to improve the regulatory framework relevant to our operationsQualificationsRequired Qualifications:5+ years experience, preferably in (local) politics, administration, or in a government relations position in the private sectorRelationship-builder, with experience in partnership and stakeholder management in local or national politicsOutstanding oral and written communication skills including the ability to present to different audiencesSolid previous experience in managing projects from start to finishSelf-starter / quick learner with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environmentEnthusiasm for tech, mobility, or urban planning industries would be of added valueBA required.
