WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: ISGlobal is seeking a Technician who is interested in taking over and managing activities of the project: MOLECULAR INSIGHTS OF CRYPTIC ERYTHROCYTIC INFECTIONS IN THE HUMAN MALARIA CAUSED BY PLASMODIUM VIVAX (CRYPTICVIVAX).
The overall project goal is to unveil molecular insights of the newly described cryptic erythrocytic infections of this species using novel transformative technologies of humanized mouse models and organs-on-a-chip.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
Laboratory experienceExperience in working with extracellular vesiclesIn vitro culture experienceLab-chip experienceMolecular and cellular biology techniques KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Isolation and purification of extracellular vesicles from plasma and in vitro culture.Conducting experiments in microfluidic devices.
Experience in this area is a pre-requisite.Help in the analysis of humanized mice. SPECIFIC DUTIES:Extracellular vesicles: isolation, purification, characterization through different technologies such as size-exclusion chromatography, immunocapture, FACs analysis, Western blot, nanoparticle tracking analysis.Cell and parasite in vitro cultures.Organ-on-a-chip: help with 3D seeding, 3D microcultures, imaging.Analysis of the degree of human chimerism in humanized mouse models: qRT-PCR, IFAs, phenotypical FACs analysis. SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process is designed in two phases:Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation.

If needed any technical test could be passed.A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
