Job Description Summary: Role Summary/PurposeWe are looking for a highly motivated and team player individual to fit the apprenticeship position in our Supply Chain organization as a Material Planner Intern. In this position, the Material Planner Intern will ensure and optimize our spare part list for our project, to allow customer orders to be fulfilled in an efficient and timely manner, whilst managing inventory levels and costs. This position will be in contact with our engineering and sourcing team, ensuring that our SPL is being updated with our obsolescence and having all our spares tracked.Essential ResponsibilitiesCompilation of spares part list and main components for worldwide offshore projects ensuring the coordination between the main stakeholders like Engineering, Operations and Logistic Coordinators Teams.Manage obsolescence and market discontinuity of our spares for our worldwide offshore projects, updating our SPL and informing the site of these changes.Collaborate on our material forecast based on worldwide consumption and planification of those parts in function of retrofit campaigns, preventive maintenance, punch list... in collaboration with the main stakeholders of Engineering, Operations and Logistic Coordinators Teams.Support to sourcing and procurement team on technical aspects coming from the sites.Work with the Purchasing team to understand externally sourced component delivery situation and update the delivery plans accordingly.Provide input to the Supply organization to support some inventory initiatives like reducing slow moving inventory, optimizing stock levels, identifying safety stock without compromising on parts availability or on time delivery to ensure customer expectations are met.Coordinate with Master Data Management for overall material master data consistency in the system; including parameters for the correct automatization of ERP / MRP.Qualifications / RequirementsDegree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent knowledge or experience.Experienced with ERP (preferably Oracle) / MRP / S&OP; systems.Technical background will be a plus.Drive to continuously improve and reduce costs.Ability to speak English fluently, with working efficiency.Working hours required: 25 hours/week.Work style: hybrid work is allowed with min. one day in presence work at Barcelona office.Preferable start day: 1st September.Length of internship: min. 6 months (but preferably longer; up to 12 months)._ Please take into account that an internship agreement (in Spanish called "Convenio") must be established between the company-university-student._Desired CharacteristicsExperience in the wind industry and wind turbines components will be advantageous.Very creative and structured in your work.Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.About usGE Renewable Energy is one of the world's leading offshore wind energy companies, with a portfolio of offshore wind turbines ranging from 6 MW to 14 MW that offer increased value to customers with proven performance, reliability, efficiency and availability.
