As a Technical Consultant, you will: Support the education and training of the company's products to Health Care Professionals and patients.
Be the field clinical diabetes expert who educates patients, physicians, nurses, educators, and other health care professionals (HCP's) regarding the importance of intensive management of patients with diabetes using Medtronic Diabetes products.
Train patients and health care professionals (HCP's) on Medtronic Diabetes' products, operations, and therapy.
Troubleshoot clinical and technical issues regarding Medtronic Diabetes' products and therapy.
Assist HCP in assessing and managing the patient's therapy once the initiation process begins as needed to ensure a positive outcome.
Plan and coordinate HCP local events and educational programs.
Communicate with other Medtronic Diabetes departments regarding field clinical/sales needs and issues.
Be an integral part of the Sales Team and participate in special projects as required.
Approximately 85% of travel within the assigned territory, with overnight travel required.
Must Haves: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Previous experience with Diabetes technology (preferably insulin pumps) At least 3 years of experience in a similar position or in product training & education initiatives Good English level and Spanish (both written and spoken) Willingness to work with physicians, nurses, and dietitians Communication skills and motivation to build strong business relationships with customers; Computer literacy Clean driving license; Willingness to travel intensively Teamwork, proactivity, and focus on delivering results Nice to Haves: Master's Degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Dietetic At least 2 years of experience in medical sales Previous experience in nutrition/dietetic Physical Job Requirements: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position
