EDPR's strategy aims to continue the development and construction of more projects worldwide.Given the growth ambition, a well-planned Solar procurement strategy is crucial for its success, and hence EDPR is embarking on a strategic global sourcing effort led by the Global Procurement team, together with the introduction of an operating model aimed at achieving strong long-term partnerships with selected world-class, highly qualified suppliers of Solar: PV Modules, Inverters, and Trackers.The Global Procurement Solar Associate will play a key role in contributing to the development and execution of such an ambitious strategy, aiming for the long-term global sourcing of Solar main equipment. The Global Procurement Solar Associate will assist the Solar Procurement Manager in necessary initiatives and Solar procurement activities for a given region(s) of responsibility. This will include supporting and executing end-to-end tender processes and negotiations, involvement in transversal tasks such as process & procedures definition-implementation, and building up strategic information databases.This Global Procurement Solar Associate will create a sustainable competitive advantage for the company and maximize value throughout the development of a wide range of relationships with suppliers, relevant market/industry stakeholders, and the internal areas of the EDP organization.MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIESProcurement StrategyDrive and support the Procurement Manager Solar in all strategic initiatives towards the goal of achieving long-term partnerships with suppliers.Procurement ProcessesExecution of RFIs, RFPs/RFQs and any necessary bid process to evaluate product options and select the right supplier for a given project or set of projects. Manage negotiations regarding purchase Solar supply agreements (Global Frame Agreements, Solar Supply/Warranty/O&M contracts, etc.), involving other EDP areas as required. Compliance with EDP internal approval processes and guidelines (procurement committees, formal capex approval systems, integrity due diligence, etc).Relationship ManagementContribute to develop a close network with all solar industry players and stakeholders impacting EDP Solar business, including current and potential entrant suppliers (provide strategic market intelligence)
