Job DescriptionAs a Global Payroll Governance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth running of the controls, compliance and audit framework to create an effective control environment, recommending improvements where necessary.
Liaising with the operational payroll teams across the Brambles Group, to ensure that payroll managers understand the vision of the framework and are able to implement the required controls across their respective estates.
Working closely with the payroll suppliers in support of service and/or contract negotiation, working in partnership with Procurement supporting the Director, Global Payroll Governance.
Coordinating the running of the BCP processes for Global payroll.
Supporting the implementation of any new Payroll service offerings across the globe.

Major/Key Accountabilities:Continuously review global estate for payroll risk assurance and compliance, working in partnership where necessary with audit, finance and other functions to close out any identified payroll risk.Maintenance and running of a global processing model matrix supporting an evidence-based decision-making process in where to place country payroll operations on a sliding scale from in-house with platform support to fully outsourced, to support maximum efficiency risk mitigation.Assuring best practice global processes and controls are applied across all regions working in partnership with the regional HR Operations leads and HRIS.Assurance of Global Payroll Compliance through pro-active learning on any key legislative requirements and engagement with appropriate sources of advice where required.Identify potential risks and root cause of global payroll issues and lead global projects to rectify where required.Ensuring local and regional payroll teams are appropriately connected to any sources of relevant legislative updates or appropriate training.Working with the Global audit team to ensure robust and continually improved internal audit processes within the function.Coordinate the resolution of audit improvement outcomes.Evidence based payroll vendor management routines, including internal error logs, issues logs and satisfaction ratings as well as KPI reports provided by the TPVs.Fully managed business continuity processes in place globally. Qualifications:- Appropriate professional qualifications in payroll e.g.
MSc Payroll & Business Management or equivalent.

Experience:- At least 3-5 years exposure in an HR Services environment, including system implementations and process improvement.

Skills and Knowledge:It is critical that the post holder can demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of global legislative rules, controls and compliance in a global environment and can demonstrate past experience of managing in these environments across multiple vendors and geographies.Payroll SystemsMS Office Intermediate (Word/Excel/Powerpoint)Excellent communicatorInfluencing skills (across boundaries)Business acumen (knowledge of each business and how to navigate to get things done)Attention to detail.Working in an international business environmentFluent English.
