WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON? Support the Galileo Mission Segment Maintenance (GMS) team.
We are looking for an engineer to provide remote support from the GMV offices in Tres Cantos to the team in the control centers in Italy, Germany, and at the French space agency (CNES) in Toulouse, with the possibility of occasional trips to these sites, to manage and resolve anomalies.
Support to operator/L1 and L3 teams for anomaly management and resolution, system restoration, vulnerability management, and security incident managementInvestigation of complex systems, creation of workarounds and/or solutions to recover nominal operationsSupport to L2 maintenance teams both front and back office.Support for AIV (Assembly, Integration, and Validation) tasks for Galileo GMS and occasionally GSC (European GNSS Service Center)Definition of test documentation (including its maintenance)Support for the preparation and execution of system validation and non-regression campaignsProviding input for configuration management activities, including updates to the relevant toolsSupport for maintenance-related milestonesSupport for integrated maintenance design and anomaly analysis in Galileo systemsProvision of input for the delivery of minor and major evolutions of the GMS infrastructureWHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM? For this position, we are looking for engineers with experience and interest in software development, the space sector, and satellite navigation systems. With experience and/or knowledge of:
Advanced level of EnglishAnalytical ability to investigate anomaliesAbility to follow procedures, but with creativity to find alternative solutions if these failAbility to coordinate complex tasks within the limits of the teamKnowledge of:
Knowledge of GNSS (Galileo or other navigation systems)Experience in validation campaigns and/or in operations systems/control centersBasic knowledge of LinuxKnowledge of PythonBasic knowledge of IT systems, SW, HW applications, networks.Experience in writing technical documentsWHAT DO WE OFFER?
