The PositionIn a cross-sites and cross-functional environment, a highly innovative platform that will enable Roche to compete more effectively in important point of care settings like primary care and pharmacies. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our Agile cross site (St. Cugat and US) development team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by performing thorough testing activities throughout the development lifecycle. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Your key responsibilities:Collaborate with the Agile team to understand user stories, acceptance criteria, and design test cases that ensure comprehensive test coverage.Participate in sprint planning sessions to define testing goals and estimate effort.Creation, maintenance, and review of complex SW test cases in all lifecycle phases.Planning, execution, and documentation of test cases including defect reporting and support of root cause analysis.Execute manual and automated tests, ensuring that all features work as intended.Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing.Communicate test results, issues, and risks to the Agile team in daily stand-ups and other meetings.Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.Advocate for quality within the Agile team, ensuring that software meets user expectations and industry standards.Assist in defining and improving quality standards and best practices.Who you areTo be successful in this position you have:
5+ years work experience in a similar position and profound knowledge of processes and methods in verification & validation of systems ideally in the regulated environment.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Ability to actively contribute to team collaboration, inclusion, sharing ideas and good team spirit, as well as mutual trust and respect (project team and sub chapter level).An ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or equivalent education.Advanced knowledge of test management tools (e.g., JIRA).Expert English language skills (B2/C1 or better).Should have the flexibility to travel to the US on a need basis.Bonus skills are:
