Job Description: A vacancy for a Test Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defense & Space in Getafe, Spain. The successful applicant will join the Integration Test & Analysis department - Flight Physics.
Mission of the department and skill group At Integration Test & Analysis - Flight Physics, we are at the heart of aircraft development, providing independent testing as the first internal customer of Engineering. Our main mission is to provide testing services to all development loops along product/solution lifecycle to all flying platforms.
Responsibilities of the job holder Challenge and harmonize test orders/test requests in line with test strategy.Define in detail the test method and means for ground and flight test.Define measurement plans with instrumentation specialists for flight test.Ensure test quality on external deliveries.Define and write test procedures and test cases.Contribute to the elaboration of the Flight Test program.Manage usage of telemetry room to perform real-time analysis and support to flight test.Validate measurements and test results.Report identified and classified problems in the associated reporting tools and/or with project/development agreed way of reports.Share test results and conclusions with the design responsible.Perform verification for experimental flight approval.Contribute to the development, renewal, and strategy for test means and testing process.Support to secure the achievement of the integration maturity in line with planning.Required skills As the successful candidate, you will need to demonstrate some of the following skills and competencies:
Applicants must have an aeronautical engineering master's degree or related discipline background with previous experience in one of the following technical flight physics disciplines:Flight PhysicsFlight MechanicsAircraft design and performanceFlight testing experience would be a plusProgramming skills in Python, Matlab.Interest in pioneering the use of the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence and data analytics.Good level of communication in English.Positive energy and motivation to enthuse your team.Curiosity and willingness to learn and share knowledge with colleagues.Enjoy taking responsibility for your ideas and making them happen.This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation, and sustainable growth.
