We seek candidates with a strong academic background, a proven track record in impactful research, and a passion for interdisciplinary teaching in a globally recognized and innovation-driven institution. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in IoT Architectures, Embedded Systems, Wireless Communications, Sensor Networks, Cyber-Physical Systems, Edge and Cloud Computing, Smart Grids, or Network Security.We value candidates with the capacity to collaborate in applied research projects led by the Impact Xcelerator at IE School of Science and Technology, specifically in one of the three focus areas: Climate/Energy, Healthcare, or Financial Systems. The ability to contribute to multidisciplinary research initiatives that apply cutting-edge technologies to real-world challenges in these sectors will be key to the role's success, providing opportunities to work closely with industry partners and stakeholders to drive innovative solutions .Key Responsibilities:Develop and teach courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, focusing on network systems, distributed systems, edge and cloud computing, wireless communications, and embedded systems.Lead research projects in emerging areas such as IoT, cyber-physical systems, wireless networks, or other related domains, while actively securing competitive research funds.Supervise and mentor students across undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs.Collaborate with industry on research initiatives and innovative solutions for real-world challenges such as smart cities, remote patient monitoring, environmental monitoring, smart energy management, cybersecurity, and edge computing.Participate in curriculum development and pedagogical innovations that incorporate experiential learning and the latest technologies in the fields of IoT, networks, and connected systems.Participate in academic service and contribute to the strategic growth of the School of Science and Technology .Required Qualifications:A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field.Demonstrated research excellence in one or more of the following areas: IoT architectures, embedded systems, wireless communications, sensor networks, cyber-physical systems, edge and cloud computing, smart grids, or network security .A strong publication record in high-impact journals and conferences related to IoT, networks, and connected systems
