WHAT YOU'LL DOAs a Practice Area Senior Coordinator (PAC) role within Central Practice Area Operations Team (PA), you will own and drive defined, large or complex Central Practice Area activities or processes with minimal guidance, supporting the management of practice initiatives. A core part of this role is to interact directly with the Senior Director of Strategic Projects & Performance Management, the COO and other senior leaders of Practice Areas and the central PA teams around a number of PA initiatives including PA meeting preparation, driving the PA calendar management, finance/budget/reporting administration, steering committee call scheduling, affiliation and drafting internal communications.You will act as the organizer of coordinating the day to day operations of the Senior Director of Strategic Projects & Performance Management and the COO (e.G. meeting agenda, prep information/ intelligence). You will also support global initiatives captured in the strategic agenda of the Practice Areas (e.G. collecting data/Information for relevant analysis, preparing and executing workshops). You will own Practice Area reporting– carrying out exec summary data pulls and creating slides and discuss them with the PA leadership. You will also be involved in central PA budget oversight and management of the utilization status.We have regular large PA meetings with senior stakeholders (Practice Area Leaders, Global Practice Management Directors, etc.). You will be a driving part of the team for organizing these events, in close collaboration with the strategic projects team and other units of the central Practice Area Management & Operations landscape.The Central PA Operations team is in charge of defining the vision and strategy of the central practice areas and is mandated to ensure that the processes are managed in a efficient way and that the strategy of the Practice Areas are being implemented in a timely way. This entails the management of intersection across the BCG matrix including, Global Services, Regions, Industry Practice Areas, Client Team, Functional Practice Areas, BCG.X and the Practice Area support/BU functions (Finance, Marketing, Knowledge/Expertise, HR etc.).This is a temporary role for 12 monthsYOU'RE GOOD AT* Connecting complex workstreams with a good business judgement and can-do attitude* Organizing and structuring workstreams and following up on the progress in a self-driven way* Building a strong network in the PA and beyond by leveraging a robust understanding of the PA's business to make decisions* Supporting, and in some cases, driving complex, ambiguous PA processes that routinely require independent judgment, trade-offs or prioritization* Supporting and in some cases, driving the organization of internal and external PA regional affiliation meetings and events* Helping others navigate the practice network and supporting onboarding of team members* Accurately providing financial and business analysis* Exercising judgement to contribute beyond the Practice Area, thinking analytically through alternativesYOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)* 4-6+ years relevant experience* Bachelor's degree* Ability to handle defined PA processes or smaller projects with minimal guidance (sourcing, learning programs, etc.)* The ability to make independent decisions within existing guidelines, advising more junior team members* Exceptional organizational, planning and project management skills; strong at conceptualization, follow-through, ownership and accountability* Solid analytical skills (e.G. for business reporting tasks) and a structured way of thinking* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment* Strong written and verbal communication skills* Professional, service oriented, pro-active and flexible attitude* Advanced knowledge in Outlook, PowerPoint, and ExcelYou will coordinate closely with the Senior Director, Strategic Projects & Performance Management - Global Practice Areas, related teams in the organization of the COO of Practice Areas as well as with intersecting functions and business units. In this function, you will be part of the Performance Management Team.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONPractice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG's industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently. As a member of this team, you will contribute directly to the success of our business through a number of roles, including content development, process management, marketing, meeting and conference management, and internal/external communications.
