We are looking for a temporary Mathematics Teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning and is excited to join one of the best international schools in an amazing city in Spain.
Responsibilities: Planning, Teaching and Class Management To model and deliver outstanding practice in own subject area. To have high expectations of all students based on relevant data. To support, challenge and stretch students as appropriate. To teach using a variety of delivery methods which will stimulate learning, meeting the demands of the syllabus and the needs of the students. To provide or contribute to oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual or groups of students. To maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour and standards of work. To assess students' work in line with school policies and procedures referring to student performance targets. Monitoring and Evaluating To use data, both externally and internally produced, to assess student performance and to develop appropriate courses of action. To review methods of teaching on a regular basis. To produce annual reports and mid-term grades for all students taught. Other Responsibilities To participate in the school's staff development programme. To continue personal development in relevant areas especially subject knowledge & teaching methods. To engage actively with the school's performance management programme. To act as a form tutor. To help with extra-curricular activities as required. To work as a member of a team, positively contributing to effective working relations within the school. To attend open evenings and parents' evenings. To attend morning assemblies and staff morning briefing unless on duty. Profile: University graduate and qualified with UK approved PGCE or international equivalent. The person should be able to teach up to IGCSE.
