You will deliver proof of concepts, trial new ideas and solutions with real customers, work with focus groups to refine those solutions, and assist product and marketing to successfully launch those solutions.Here's how:Envision, architect, and trial solutions in the emerging technologies space.Work with internal teams, vendors, and universities to organize technology proof of concepts (PoCs).Help create/promote the development ecosystem for all the emerging technologies with our development partner and expanding the network.Recruit, vet, and onboard new PoCs.Mentor support architects and project/program managers.Create planning tools resources.Build maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Roll out track the success of new initiatives.Project and Program manage projects and their budgets.Find new ways for TELUS to monetize emerging technologies and effectively deploy them in PoCs and production environments.Do market research, feasibility studies and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.Partner with primes from various departments (such as Product Teams, Marketing, Sales, IT) to lead and manage the implementation of new technologies.Lead the analysis, business cases and prepare executive and detailed summaries to support decision making.Manage all aspects of the design and implementation, including operational processes, documentation and content for handover to downstream teams.Qualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle:5+ years of experience working in telecommunications or related technologies.Distinguished for your experience in Innovation in the emerging technologies and services.Praised for your ability to collaborate with a variety of diverse groups and teams (internal and/or external) to effectively introduce and implement change.Solid understanding of cloud computing (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).Experience in creating, executing and supporting end-to-end projects.Skilled in the development lifecycle using agile methodologies.Skilled in the program/project management methodologies.Recognized for your experience in technical product development such as conducting market research, feasibility studies, business case creation, etc.Expertise in negotiating with vendors for new technology and support agreements.Acknowledged for your change management experience.Confident with financial concepts and budget tracking and reporting.With a Bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university and/or equivalent industry-related work experience.Great-to-haves:Good understanding of Docker/Kubernetes/Containerization.Good understanding of ML and AI.Experience in development of microservices and REST APIs.API gateway products, API security policies API traffic management policies.Experience delivering solutions for mobile edge computing.Excellent understanding of 3G, 4G, LTE and its evolution to 5G.Experience in concepts related to smart cities and its architectural components.Hiring company: TELUS.
