DESCRIPTION
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a technical leader to help global telecommunications operators (CSPs) transform their businesses with AWS technology.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Solutions Architects are at the crossroads of business and technology and engage with organizations at all stages of cloud adoption. Solutions Architects also take a leading role in creating and presenting technical content and best practices.
The problem domains are diverse: 5G monetization, network function virtualization, digital customer journeys, OSS/BSS transformation, mobile edge computing, hyperscale data, Network APIs, cybersecurity, and SaaS evolution. At your disposal is the breadth of AWS, including artificial intelligence, edge computing, IoT, and data analytics.
Key job responsibilities
As part of the Telecommunications Solutions Architecture team, you will collaborate with customers, internal AWS teams, and AWS partners to deliver solutions to the unique challenges of information and operational technology in telecom customers.
You will be the single-threaded owner of the AWS technology strategy for your customer and account team to drive AWS adoption. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value while assessing risks, balancing trade-offs, and encouraging risk-taking to maximize your customer's business value of AWS is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think long-term about business, product, and technical outcomes.
Role requires domestic and international (mainly Europe) travel up to 30%.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
- Presentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences in fluent Spanish and English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
- Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.
- Experience working with customers in Telecom industries.
- Experience with building, validating, and deploying Analytics and AI/ML solutions and applications on cloud infrastructure.
