Repsol Trading Division is looking to bring on a dedicated professional to fill the Safety and Environmental Technician position in our Madrid office. Responsibilities Provide input and work actively on European and other international regulations related to Product Safety (REACH/CLP, UK REACH, KKDIK, K-REACH, etc.) and their derived obligations for a trader acting as importer or distributor (i.E., MSDS, CAS, CSR, etc.). Review documentation (i.E., contracts, MSDS, etc.) identifying gaps in REACH compliance responsibilities or those aspects that could affect the Trading business (such as the need for ECHA registration of a new substance placed on the market by the Unit). Liaison and departmental representative capacity before Product Safety Authorities, service providers, and other Business Units of Repsol Group. Other Responsibilities Support actions for the deployment of S&E programs. Participate in the development of S&E procedures, following company regulatory guidelines, and in the monitoring of their application. Make use of S&E tools and information systems. Design, develop, and deliver training actions in S&E aspects. Contribute to incident management. Participate in the implementation and monitoring of emergency/crisis management, as well as conducting drills. Collaborate in the monitoring of legislation and other S&E requirements that affect the business unit. Leadership and participation in projects and initiatives promoted from the S&E area. Reporting as required. Assessment and physical inspection of petrochemical installations to ensure risks are minimized and ensure facilities are maintained at high standards. Provide input and work actively on the business sustainable development such as ISCC and environmental activities. Experience as an ISO auditor. Qualifications University Degree: Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or Chemical Sciences. Competencies and Skills Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and oral. Organizational capacity, planning, and initiative driving skills. Communication skills and ability to work in a team
