The candidate will be a part of the Applications Operations team. He/she will have a sound understanding of Spanish applications relevant in either midrange or mainframe infrastructures and environments.The candidate will work as part of the IT local team based in Barcelona/Madrid and will liaise with different, worldwide global IT management teams.The candidate will ensure that all IT processes, including deployment, change, and incident management, lead to full application availability while the internal and external client perception of the IT services reaches customer satisfaction. He/she will have an inclusive view of all midrange and mainframe infrastructures and environments to help avoid adverse and/or unexpected impacts on the Bank's operation.Application Operations responsibilities include monitoring system infrastructure, applications, resolving system issues, and deployment.Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Provide L2 support to a set of applications including incidents/problems resolution, deployment, and monitoring.Have either:A deep background in middleware technologies and commercial IT environments, as well as midrange operating systems and service-oriented architectures (SOA). Demonstrable experience in working with micro-services architectures (MSA), Java platforms, and Cloud-based infrastructure. Experience working with standard commercial tools such as App Dynamics, Splunk, and Geneos, and implementing application monitoring, tuning, profiling, and performance analysis is required.A deep background in mainframe systems including CICS, JCL, and DB2.Maintain applications up and running and provide solutions for incident escalations.Be part of the Application Operations team providing L2 support for over 100 applications, including 24x7 coverage.People Management:The candidate demonstrates the ability to work as part of global, distributed, multicultural, and multidisciplinary teams. Experience in banking business and operations will be valued. Experience in a variety of midrange technologies, mainframe, micro-service-based infrastructures, cloud infrastructure, and application availability metrics. Experience in process automation and monitoring. Disaster recovery experience and IT audit will be a plus.Education/Qualifications:Degree in Engineering or Computer Science is mandatory.Fluent in English and Spanish is a must.Analytic talent and initiative to provide out-of-the-box solutions.Ability to identify improvements and optimizations inside standard processes.Teamwork capacity.
