Offer Description
Study of the environmental quality of lagoon ecosystems in response to anthropogenic impacts and climate change. The research activities to be carried out within the project aim at an advanced knowledge of the lagoon environmental quality, its biodiversity and the impact of human activities and climate change on the ecosystem and its biological resources through a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach. Specific study objectives are:
To evaluate the ecological status of the lagoon in accordance with the Water Framework Directive (WFD 2000/60) and the achievement of Good Environmental Status (GES);
To provide an assessment of lagoon integrity based on a multimetric approach;
To assess the impact of climate change through the analysis of time series of hydrological variables.
Requirements
Eligibility criteria:
Degree in Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences, Marine Biology, Natural Sciences, Chemistry, Environmental and Territorial Sciences and Technologies, or Medical, Veterinary, and Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies, obtained according to the regulations in force prior to D.M. 509/99, or a Specialist/Master's Degree (D.M. 5 May 2004), with a professional curriculum suitable for carrying out research activities;
Knowledge of the English language;
Knowledge of the Italian language (for foreign candidates only).
