The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy, and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are looking for a full-time technician to join our young, dynamic BrainChild Lab led by Prof. Mònica Guxens ( Link to Profile ). The candidate will work on the project GOLIAT (5G exposure, causal effects, and risk perception through citizen engagement) funded by Horizon Europe (grant agreement 101057262) ( Project Website ). The candidate will be responsible for coordinating data collection and data cleaning in the European cohorts involved in the project. The role will also include data analysis and preparation of scientific manuscripts. The candidate will gain skills in exposure assessment, environmental epidemiology, and statistical methods.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in epidemiology, public health, or related discipline.
SPECIFIC DUTIES Coordinating fieldwork in the different cohorts involved in the study
Preparing data scripts for cleaning the data and calculating the exposures of interest
Conducting data analysis of the collected data
Collaborating with the study teams and external specialists
SKILLS Previous experience in the research topic is an advantage
Experience in processing and managing datasets, preferably using STATA and R
Motivated researcher with strong organizational and team-working skills
Professional attitude with attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Team player with the ability to work autonomously, rational and critical thinker
LANGUAGE LEVEL English proficiency in both written and spoken forms.
CONDITIONS Duration: 9 months (extendable)
Contract: Full-time (40h/week)
Salary Range: €22,000-€27,000
