We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a lab technician with expertise in animal mouse models relevant to cancer at Onena Medicines. Our company is dedicated to developing first-in-class antibody-based medicines targeting unmet medical needs, including cancer and pediatric rare diseases.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated technician with extensive experience in working with animal mouse models relevant to cancer research. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our preclinical research team, contributing to the development and validation of novel therapeutic approaches. The location of the job development is in San Sebastian, Spain, with a contract with an estimated duration of 6 to 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and manage in vivo experiments using mouse models of cancer.
Perform dosing, sample collection, and data analysis.
Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical guidelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance research projects.
Contribute to the preparation of research reports, presentations, and publications.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Animal Science, or a related field.
At least 1 year of hands-on experience with mouse models in a cancer research setting.
A certificate in animal experimentation (functions B and C) is required.
Proficiency in techniques such as tumor implantation, drug administration, and organ collection.
Strong understanding of animal care and welfare regulations.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
