ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM We are seeking a Technical / UX Writer who will blend technical writing expertise with user experience writing to create clear, engaging, and user-friendly content for our digital products. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that our content not only meets technical standards but also enhances the overall user experience. Qualifications WHAT YOU'LL DO Content Development: Create and manage user documentation, including manuals, online help, and product specifications, while also crafting microcopy for user interfaces (e.G., buttons, error messages, tooltips) to guide users effectively through our products. User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user needs and behaviors. Analyze findings to inform content strategies and improve user interactions. Collaboration: Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), UX designers, product managers, and developers to gather information and ensure content accuracy and relevance. Participate in design reviews to provide input on content placement and clarity. Content Strategy: Develop content strategies that align with business goals while ensuring consistency in tone and voice across all platforms. Create style guides and maintain a library of content standards. Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of documentation and content updates within project deadlines. Coordinate with stakeholders to establish key milestones for document reviews and approvals. Feedback Implementation: Submit draft documents for review, assess feedback from key reviewers, and implement changes as necessary before publication. Continuously seek opportunities to iterate on existing content based on user feedback and analytics. ABOUT YOUR SKILLS Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Information Technology, or a related discipline; 3+ years of experience in technical writing or UX writing, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your writing skills across various digital products; Proficiency inusing industry-standard tools for technical writing (e.G., MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker) as well as design tools (e.G., Figma, Sketch). Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills; ability to convey complex information in simple terms; Strong analytical skills to interpret user data and feedback effectively; Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and manage stakeholder expectations; Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus. NICE-TO-HAVE Empathy towards users; ability to advocate fortheir needs throughout the product development process. Interest in emerging technologies and trends in user assistance and design.
