Working as part of a team based remotely, our Technical Scheme Lead shall be accountable for auditing, reviewing technical reports, and conducting certification decisions where necessary. You will also ensure that adequate resources are maintained for certification activities, which will include the onboarding, training, and calibration of our team of auditors.Responsibilities include:Technical ownership, daily oversight, accountability, and management of the Seafood Schemes under NSF Certification.Ensuring they run to scheme and NSF KPIs and Scheme Owner KPI and timelines.Calibrating and training auditors (training internal staff as required).Working with Scheme Owners and Accreditation Bodies.Development and implementation of policies and procedures for the Seafood Schemes.Building effective relationships with clients, attending meetings, and advising clients technically.Carrying out technical reviews for Seafood Schemes as required (Chain of Custody Schemes).Working with NSF Audit Delivery Managers in the recruiting, onboarding, training, and calibration (shadow/witness) of auditors.Leading on auditor calibration and training.Experience in accreditation management and scheme rules to ensure we meet the KPIs and ensure the on-time delivery of schemes.Collaborating with other Seafood Technical Scheme Leads to ensure adequate technical cover and expertise across our Global Seafood Team.Advising Global Local Teams on technical requirements.Team lead for the CB Management, Technical, and Calibration Team members.In the absence of any Technical and Calibration Team members, reviewing facility and final reports when submitted by auditors. Conducting the decision of certification if necessary.Acting as a technical advisor for the program with auditors, senior management, and client services.Working with the Quality Team to ensure due diligence and technical governance for Seafood and participating in internal and external audits to assigned schemes as required, including participating in the review and response to audit findings to ensure that they are addressed in a timely manner.Qualifications:Demonstrated experience in Aquaculture, Seafood Related Business, GFSI Scheme Standards, Accreditation under ISO 17065, Audit Procedures and Processes.Seafood HACCP Certification (AFDO approved or equivalent).Auditor qualification in Seafood.Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science, Fisheries Technology, Biology, or other science-related studies.Lead Assessor.A knowledge of the Seafood Industry.Auditing experience of Seafood Schemes.Experience within a Certification Body.Experience of meeting KPIs.Well organized with the ability to plan and schedule work effectively.A good level of spoken and written English.Demonstrated experience with farmed and wild species (preferred not essential).Understanding and knowledge of the NSF programs and systems (preferred not essential).Previous audit experience within Seafood Chain of Custody Schemes.What NSF can offer:If working in an environment that promotes creativity, thought leadership, close collaboration and importantly mitigates risk to human health and planet health, then NSF can offer you the chance to make a difference.
