Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement: Initiate and maintain ongoing communication with both current and prospective customers to understand their needs and offer tailored technical solutions. Build trust-based relationships through effective, consistent communication in person, via phone, and email. Technical Consultation: Act as the primary technical resource for customers, translating their needs into viable machining solutions that meet technical and budgetary constraints. Solution Development: Collaborate with production and engineering teams to create customized solutions for customer projects, ensuring they align with our capabilities and customer expectations. Quoting Estimations: Provide detailed technical input to support accurate estimates, including materials, production timelines, and resource requirements. Collaborative Sales Development: Partner with the Account Manager to reinforce relationships with both new and existing customers, ensuring technical solutions support overall business goals. Process Improvement: Work with internal teams to standardize and enhance quoting, estimating, and production processes, focusing on efficiency and customer satisfaction. Industry Knowledge: Stay informed on CNC machining advancements and industry trends to maintain the competitiveness and quality of our offerings. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical sales, engineering, or manufacturing, with CNC machining experience preferred. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly CNC machining, with the ability to clearly communicate these processes to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong verbal and written communication skills for building and nurturing customer relationships. Proven experience in job quoting and estimation within a machining or manufacturing environment. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and the Account Manager to ensure seamless customer experiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software experience with JobBOSS2 and/or QuickBooks Online is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, customer-focused mindset. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as ITAR or AS9100. Experience with ERP and CRM systems for sales tracking and customer data management. Background in fast-growing companies or startups.
