We want to transition the world towards a decarbonised and sustainable future.By pushing the boundaries of engineering and technology, we can make it work.Together, we can create new business opportunities and a more sustainable future that we can all be proud of.Want to join the ride?We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Safety / HSSE Engineer to join our Wärtsila Gas Solution colleagues.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management and technical process engineering knowledge, with the ability to effectively identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.Responsibilities:Strategy and development, objectives and actions connected to the Product with respect to Technical Safety & HSSE in connection with Wärtsilä Gas Solution overall strategy.Support Market-Driven R&D in collaboration with Innovation and Sales with respect to Technical Safety.Sales support – Providing input technical specifications of standard products for the Technical Safety scope.Product Portfolio Management – Standardization, optimization of revisions, versions, and options.Develop the Ways of Working and the Business Process Model to adopt Wärtsilä Gas Solution to the Sales strategy.Conduct hazard assessments and risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards in the project, site, and workplace.Project support and commissioning support.Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and safe work practices.Investigate incidents to determine root causes and develop recommendations for prevention.Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement safety improvements and integrate safety into day-to-day operations.Maintain and update safety records, reports, and documentation.Stay current with new safety regulations and best practices in the industry.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Process Engineering, or related field.10+ years of experience in a technical safety role.Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits
