The ideal candidate must be able to lead, plan and deploy a plan to optimise and improve the software development cycle in order to increase the number of releases annually.
He/she must ensure the quality and success of technical releases, working closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate and manage the software development lifecycle.This is an opportunity to directly impact the customer experience and contribute to the growth of a high-profile business.This role offers a unique opportunity for those seeking to challenge themselves and play a critical role in the success of one of the world's leading eCommerce platforms.What is this all about?Oversee and manage the complete software release cycle, ensuring the quality of the scheduled plan.Ensure that quality requirements, both functional and non-functional, are met.Lead bug review and manage its backlog (on all platforms).Track progress of the release showstoppers and project showstoppers related to the release.Monitor issues, manage risks and give visibility of issues raised by security scans.Assure compliance of the release planning with all stakeholders in the lifecycle.Get the status of the key activities from the different cross teams interacting with stakeholders.Define KPIs and metrics to follow the whole release lifecycle.Define and deploy the mitigation plan.Identify, document, and track issues & problems, working with the relevant teams for resolution.Maintain organized and up-to-date process documentation and release schedules.Manage risks associated with releases and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.Continuously monitor and improve software release processes to increase efficiency and the number of releases on a yearly basis.Lead the adaptation of the release management process according to the Agile transformation Project.Main relationshipsQA & Dev teams/squads.Business ManagerProduct OwnersBusiness AnalystsYour profile Who are you?Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software development or IT Engineering.Minimum of 5 years of experience in release management, or similar technical roles.
Previous experience in QA is highly valued.Deep understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies (Scrum).Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale software releases.Experience with test automation, continuous integration (CI/CD), project (Jira, Xray) and release management tools (Jenkins, Git, Azure, etc.)
