Role Description The Technical Project Engineer will participate in specific project deployment, performing installation, upgrades, database manipulation, and other technical tasks linked to our GestLab Solutions.
The Project Engineer will work closely with Clinisys customers and be involved in multiple LIS GestLab projects.
Essential Functions Technical installation & upgrade of GestLab products.ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading of data) activities.Integrate GestLab with external applications and instruments, including the configuration of HL7 messaging and communications through sockets.Database (Oracle or/and Firebird) manipulation.Ensuring that the progress of all assigned project tasks is accurate, up-to-date, and that work is recorded correctly and timely in accordance with the company's internal procedures.Working closely with Project Manager/Customer Service Manager, offering recommendations and identifying technical risks.Preparation of project-related documentation.Take responsibility for all technical aspects of assigned tasks.Act as the interface with customers to gather user requirements and manage enhancements and upgrades.Perform assigned tasks in accordance with project plan, budget, and customer satisfaction.Propose product and service improvements to improve delivery time and quality.Escalate potential issues to the Project Manager or Customer Service Manager.Propose improvements of internal procedures to increase organizational efficiency.Provide feedback to the technical writer to improve technical documentation.Prepare a service report for each intervention on the client, monitoring client acceptance, and sending the corresponding documentation to the administration department.Ensure that internal information systems contain the required product license records and provide product licenses to customers.Attend internal and client-led project meetings with the Project Manager, as appropriate.Build and maintain a good relationship with the client, ensuring an increase in overall customer satisfaction.Travel across Spain and internationally when required.Skills Needed to be Successful Strong motivational skills – can deliver tasks in difficult circumstances.High level of commitment and ability to take action when necessary.Inventive and solution-oriented, hands-on, and can-do attitude.Punctual and quality-minded.Good communication skills: presentation, pedagogic, and demonstration competencies.Ability to work both independently and in a team.Required Experience & Education Knowledge of relational databases and SQL language.
Oracle and/or Firebird preferred.Experience working with software products.Fluency in Spanish and good written and spoken English.Knowledge of specific health communications standards such as HL7, ASTM, IHE.Technical knowledge of Windows/IIS Server Installation/TCP/IP/Citrix/Terminal Server/Unix/Virtualization/VMware.ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading of data).HL7 messaging & communications through sockets.Additional "Nice to Have" Skills and Experience: Integration with BI tools.Laboratory knowledge or experience working with laboratory information systems.Experience in the healthcare industry (Medical Laboratory, Immunology, Clinical Chemistry, Haematology, Pathology).
