About the Role
Boats Group is excited to announce that we're looking for a Technical Financial Controller to join our Europe Finance team.
We are seeking a driven individual with advanced technical accounting skills who will report to the Finance Director.
Bring your technical accounting experience to this highly visible and cross-functional role!
What You'll Do Manage and own end-to-end the YWI Group Consolidated Financial statements reporting, a UK-based group that englobes subsidiaries in Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, and Germany.Carry out research on complex accounting matters to attain external reporting prerequisites including execution of newly updated accounting policies and complex transactions.Work with multiple departments to discover and find solutions to peculiar accounting matters.Head the development of the organisation's accounting policies and coordinate training for accounting teams.Organise external audit procedures affiliated with resolution of critical accounting issues.Head the assessment and execution of the newly issued accounting principles, including project management of implementation.Work with the external auditors regarding footnote disclosures.
Provide direct assistance with comment letters, inquiries, and census filings.Reassess accounting procedures for alignment with various GAAP requirements across Europe and SOX.Maintain all process narratives.
Responsible for updating narratives, performing walkthroughs, and key controls testing.Review and maintain financial regulatory requirements across all European entities, including VAT statutory filing and bank regulations.Provide direct assistance with all technical accounting questions.Supervise inter-company accounting, including transfer pricing studies.Manage all special projects as they relate to Accounting.What You Should Have Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 10+ years of relevant financial experience of UK-GAAP Consolidation.ACA/ACCA Qualified.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work through complex problems and implement effective solutions.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.Demonstrated leadership and motivational management style with the ability to align roles with strengths and mentor for development.Experience working directly with senior management and department leaders.Strong business acumen is a must, as well as strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to draw conclusions based on data.Perks
