Job Title: Technical Fellow, Rendering Requisition ID: R012510 Job Description Position Description We are looking for a Technical Fellow, Rendering, to join Activision Publishing's (AP) Central Technology (CT) organization, reporting to our graphics research and development group.
Activision's CT organization provides global leadership, engineering support, analysis, and recommendations across various specialized fields for AP's studios and projects.
This role will be a part of our award-winning graphics R&D team, which is headquartered in Seattle and led by Peter-Pike Sloan, Distinguished Technical Fellow.
In this role, you will work to advance the state of the art in real-time rendering with an emphasis on digital humans, but also have purview to work in other areas as required by our teams' ambitions and the needs of our titles.
Responsibilities Continue to improve and evolve our approach to rendering digital humans, allowing us to keep the mantle of outstanding rendering from our motion capture data.
Develop new approaches to lighting techniques such as ambient occlusion, as well as working with the teams advancing our approaches in ray-tracing and global illumination.
Innovate in the anti-aliasing and image quality space, considering new approaches made possible by advances in ML to augment our existing outstanding temporal up-sampling solutions.
Year One Success Successfully contributed some novel rendering technology around character representation for our upcoming titles, which will build a new benchmark for interactive graphical fidelity.
Advanced the state of the art in lighting representation around techniques such as ambient occlusion or our approach to ray tracing.
Developed a research partnership with a university to help contribute to our work on digital humans.
On track to publish another paper that continues to build and raise our profile within the industry and academia.
