Role Purpose: You will be working as a technical consultant with a team who are spread across Europe and India.
You will need to be a self-starter who is highly motivated and able to coordinate and motivate team members to meet deadlines, work productively, and resolve issues whilst maintaining SLAs as required.
Responsibilities/Accountability: Provide L3 support on Storage, Virtualisation, and compute BAU activities.Primary responsibility to take ownership of Storage infrastructure of various manufacturers mainly Dell EMC (Powerstore and Unity) and NetApp.Ownership for all infrastructure Operations Support of Getronics's Internal and External customers using Service Now.Ensure various reports are published for capacity performance and configuration as per Customer requirements.Develop and maintain procedures and working practices for the efficient and effective running of all tasks associated with operating and controlling installed hardware and software.Conduct investigations on system performance, make proposals for improvements, and implement them when appropriate.Liaise with all Getronics managed service vendors like Dell EMC, NetApp, etc.
for management and support.Work closely with own & other infrastructure team members across the EU & India.Flexible to perform On-Call, Out of office hours activities.Schedule and supervise all maintenance and installation work for upgrades, working with the vendor and Getronics ServiceDesk.Carry out Risk assessment and manage risks.Assignment of workload to team members.Coach and mentor team members.Skills/Experience Mandatory: Sound fundamental knowledge of Dell EMC VNX storage arrays, NetApp, and other Dell EMC Storage products such as Powerstore and Unity.Architectural knowledge of Cisco MDS series FC switches.Hands-on knowledge of supporting L3 operational activities & troubleshooting in the areas of Storage arrays, and Cisco MDS.Hands-on knowledge of supporting L3 operational activities & troubleshooting on the Cisco MDS platform.Hands-on knowledge of supporting L3 operational activities & troubleshooting on the Cisco UCS platform and VMware.Must be familiar with Storage Replication, migration, and Copy between arrays.Good understanding of NFS, and Fibre Channel protocols, fiber Channel cabling, zoning, and ISCSII protocol.Good understanding of Windows and Linux systems.Ability to work on own initiative.Be able to make excellent decisions.Be able to lead teams.Be able to handle work pressure.Liaise effectively with other teams.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English language.Desirable: Good technical knowledge of IT infrastructure.Previous experience of working with project team & deliver as per design.Good understanding of Cloud, storage & Virtualized environments.Good Understanding of ITIL processes.Basic knowledge of VMWare, Dell Hardware, and Windows and Linux OSQualification/Certification requirements Degree-level education in IT/Computer Science.Minimum of 9 years with at least 4 years of relevant experience as a Storage engineer..
