Department: The Licensing and Technical Compliance team sits within the Compliance Department which is responsible for identifying compliance risks across the Betway group and advising the business on appropriate controls to effectively manage those risks. At Betway, we always put Compliance first to help the business design and implement controls to protect the brand from regulatory risks and provide testing and monitoring capabilities to report on the effectiveness of these controls to senior management. Purpose of the role: The Technical Compliance Manager leads a team of Technical Compliance Specialists and works closely with the Regulatory Compliance team and external stakeholders to provide expert advice and assistance. The role is responsible for providing incident management to internal departments by assisting 3rd party service providers with the investigation and resolution of both technical issues, as related to gambling software, and process issues, as related to systems. There is also a high level of involvement with the introduction, Integration and maintenance of regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions, particularly where a third-party provides the data storage solution and secure connection to the regulator. The overall focus of the role is to develop and maintain a highly effective team which actively protects the business from regulatory risks.
To achieve this, the Technical Compliance Manager will, as a recognised subject matter expert, be responsible for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining logs of incidents, issues and outcomes, ensuring accurate information and data is provided to stakeholders and ensuring the resolution of these issues with stakeholders. In addition to liaising with Regulatory Compliance and external stakeholders, this role supports the wider operational needs of the Operations Compliance team by implementing tactical solutions wherever necessary.
You will be responsible for: Management and development of the Technical Compliance Specialists.Providing appropriate training and guidance to Technical Compliance Specialists.Ensuring quality and timely execution of incident management and being a key decision maker in the resolution of incidents.Overseeing incident management reviews and associated reporting.Working closely with the Regulatory and Technical Development Compliance teams and being a point of escalation.Driving the development and enhancement of existing systems, both internal and external, to increase the efficiency of the Technical Compliance team.Ensuring engagement and alignment within other areas of the AML and Compliance department.Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholder groups and external third parties.Assisting with the successful implementation of new/revised processes and/or regulatory requirements and Compliance procedures.Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion.This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities.
