We are looking for a Technical Accountant, based in Barcelona.
The job holder is a member of the Finance Technical Accounting Team and, in cooperation with the Finance Technical Accounting Team members and the Director of Accounting for the UK, Ireland, Central Europe, Middle East, and India, is responsible for all key compliance deadlines of the Air Products legal entities.
As Technical Accountant, you will: Timely and accurately prepare data on a local GAAP basis for external reporting to Tax Authorities, Auditors, Statistical Office, and National Bank.Timely prepare month-end reporting for US GAAP in accordance with the Company's Month-end Closing schedule.Prepare local GAAP Statutory Financial Statements for the Air Products legal entities under assigned responsibility in a timely manner, including the preparation of working papers and related schedules for the year-end audit process to obtain a clean sign-off audit opinion by the local GAAP year-end auditors.Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly/quarterly basis in line with company policy, ensuring all reconciliations are completed and filed correctly.Under supervision of the Technical Accounting team leader, set own priorities and work plan within the overall framework of the financial accounting group and corporate deadlines.You will have: Degree in Financial Accounting, preferably with an IFRS background.3-5 years of working experience in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.Experience working in an international team.Fluency in English.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Experience with SAP is considered an advantage.Ability to communicate effectively in a large multi-disciplined environment.What we offer and what you get in return: At Air Products, we work in an environment where we put safety first, diversity is essential, inclusion is our culture, and each person knows they belong and matter.
