What you'll be doing You'll be leading our Digital Data Platform, Pronto, a big data pipeline that processes everything that is being played on the Internet - on Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, iTunes, etc.
This platform is constantly scaling and needs to be redesigned to scale to the new volumes.
Your main responsibilities will be to make sure this platform works and scales and has a healthy team that responds to all the platform needs.
Requirements :All about you: 6 years of experience as a software engineer 2 years of experience in a leadership role Strong knowledge of Python Knowledge of different types of databases like relationals (PostgreSQL), no-sql (MongoDB), search engines (Elasticsearch), etc.
Being comfortable designing distributed systems, queues, caches, etc.
Knowledge of automated data processing at big scale is appreciated: AWS Batch, Apache Spark, Airflow, etc.
Being resolutive and creative Good communication skills - very important to have excellent written comms skills as most of the team works remotely Being proactive - you feel that you need to scale the system, you need to improve what is currently in place in order to always have the best platform, you don't need anybody telling to you what's your next step Being a leader - being the top responsible for the entire project and team, having the whole team aligned, working as a unit; removing silos, sharingknowledge, doing performance reviews, hiring people.
