About the role
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Team Leader to lead our New Product Introduction (NPI) team. This role is responsible for managing a team of 20-25 work preparation engineers and proto technicians, focusing on introducing new products efficiently and with the highest quality standards. As the NPI Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth project execution, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving continuous improvement to meet our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and support a team of work preparation engineers and proto technicians, fostering their professional growth and well-being.
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create opportunities for team members' professional development.
Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and open communication to strengthen teamwork and productivity.
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure new products are production-ready and meet specifications.
Resolve technical challenges, make critical decisions, and support the NPI process to ensure smooth execution.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance workflows, efficiency, and product quality.
Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating communication and alignment between engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.
Identify training needs and facilitate programs to improve the technical skills and qualifications of team members.
Profile
Proven experience (>2 years) in a leadership role within new product introduction, proto production or manufacturing.
Proficiency in NPI processes, including production planning, prototyping, and quality control.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage stakeholders at all levels.
