About the role
As a Team Leader KYB , you will lead the team that conducts KYB in the onboarding of new merchants and provide support to the business to comply with applicable regulations and company policies.
What challenges you'll be solving
Lead and support the team of KYB agents in their work conducting KYC/KYB onboarding of merchants, reviewing client documentation/information.
Ensure that the processes comply with regulations and attainment of client-specific processing requirements.
Act as an expert when the team analyzes the onboarding of merchants.
Prepare external reports/regulatory filings and collaborate with the compliance team in the operations.
Lead development of improvements to onboarding processes, merchant risk assessment, and review/investigation routines to improve detection.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What you'll need
From 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar position, with a background in KYC/KYB & onboarding of merchants and experience in a team leader position.
It would be a plus if you have a certification in ACAMS or ICA, demonstrating your expertise in the field.
Banking or Fintech experience is a must.
Specific training in Financial Crime: AML, Sanctions, AB&C, and/or Fraud will be a great plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Spanish and English.
Organized, disciplined, structured, and able to manage your workload and communicate properly.
Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and strong research skills.
A strong drive and enjoyment of working in a high-paced operational environment.
Proactive, hands-on, and self-driven.
Detail-oriented and enjoy a structured way of working.
